Power Up With Affirmations

How are we to keep positive when surrounded by vibe vampires? Everyday is a hustle and we have to be on our game. One great way to get moving is using affirmations. Affirmations are quotes typical spoken aloud to oneself or sliently. The art of spoken word helps us form our realities or at least make them more bearable.

We often are our own oppressors and bullies because we let negative thoughts swarm our minds. We have to feed ourselves good thoughts. We have to fuel up with positivity so we can improve our self-image, confidence and productivity.  There is power in positivity. When reciting affirmations, say it so loud that you believe it. Say it so loud that you drown out all the negativity around you.

You have to look in the mirror and tell yourself you are the baddest in the land. This isn't egotistical - this is self-empowerment. From toddlers to teens and beyond, we could all use a little self-empowerment to tackle our day. The key with positive affirmations is repetition. The more you tell yourself positive words, the more these thoughts will show in your life. You will start to notice that positive thinking is becoming effortless. You will see relationships get stronger, goals getting tackled and moves being made. Often, the only thing stopping you is YOU. Here are a few affirmations to get you started:

I acknowledge my own self-worth; my confidence is growing

I am a powerhouse

I have been given endless talents which i begin to use today

I forgive those who have harmed me in my past and peacefully detach from them.

Today, I abandon my old habits and take up new, more positive vibes.

I am enough. There is only one me. I am unique and special.

I wake up today with strength in my heart and clarity in my mind.

I know where i want to be and i will get there

Grab a few post-its and place a few affirmations on your bathroom mirror. Title your morning alarm with short affirmations. Tuck a few in random places throughout your daily routine.Challenge yourself. How are you going to #LiveYourBestLife if your letting vibe vampires bring you down? Power yourself up and maybe you can reach back to help them too!

What I Wish I Would’ve Known: High School Senior

1. FASFA - The earlier you apply, the more money you are likely to get. Deadlines tend to open in October. This is federal money you can receive for college. For most colleges, filling out FASFA is a requirement, though you may not receive anything.

2. College isn’t for everyone. Sometimes it’s important to figure out your passions and pursue them ASAP!

3. Pursue your major, not the college. If no colleges in state offer your major, many out of state colleges that border your state will offer in-state tuition.

4. Most blog posts like these are accurate, take the information.

5. People say senior year is the easiest...this is a lie! It is not a good idea to slack off your senior year because then you won’t feel motivated to work on your college applications.

6. Do not be scared to ask your teachers to edit your essays! It’s their job to help you succeed.

7. Many scholarships that you have to write essays for are overlooked, so take advantage!

8. Your teachers can help with college advice, they’ve been.

9. Just breath.

10. Don’t take too much to heart, next year will be full of new beginnings and new people.

13 Ways to Start A Life Cleanse T O D A Y <3

1. Stop to look in mirrors. Stare, for too long.

2. Give yourself time to grow & be your best possible self.

3. Treat your body like a temple. Drink lots of water & substitute fruit for sweets. Get lots of sleep & take lots of naps. Make yourself feel loved <3

4. Say kind things about people you like. Say kind things about people you don't.

5. Make friends that love life as much as you do. Make friends that inspire you to be open to all opportunities & inspire you to love all aspects of life. Love others.

6. Open yourself to new people.

7. Spend a considerable amount of time with your family. Especially if you don't want to.

8. Cats. Always cats.

9. Make up your bed. FYI: fresh, crisp sheets are to die for.

10. Accept that your journey is real. Your journey is valid. Only you know what you're doing & if you don't, even better. Take time to figure it out.

11. Walk outside. Sit down. Close your eyes, & breathe.

12. Travel. It doesn't mater how far or how luxurious, as long as you spend time away from your current surroundings.

13. Read books. Read magazines, read comic books, & absorb poetry.

From time to time, to remind ourselves to relax and be peaceful, we may wish to set aside some time for a retreat, a day of mindfulness, when we can walk slowly, smile, drink tea with a friend, enjoy being together as if we are the happiest people on Earth.
